I used to think it was only immigrants or foreign students who were always looking to purchase a cheap telephone card until I graduated from college and started working and let me tell you I am always in possession of one now.

If you are someone who likes to make long distance calls, you probably know how costly and inconvenient that they can get. For the rest of you, let me fill you in. If you do not have a cheap telephone card, then forget about it – you are likely to really have to shell out the big bucks, and that is no joke. I know.

I have friends all over the world, from India to Indiana, and so I have to make a lot of long distance phone calls. Before I had a cheap phone card, I could not talk for more than an hour per week to any of my international friends. It is much quicker, and practically free. I really love the convenience of being able to email my friends rather than spending hours on the phone or waiting for weeks for letters to get where they are going. It just makes a whole lot of sense to do it that way.

  Of course, even with the Internet, cheap telephone cards are still useful.

Think about it. There are some times when you just really want to go and hear the voice of a loved one. If they happen to be far away, you can either use a cheap telephone card, or you can call at great expense.

That one is a no-brainer if you ask me. Who wants to spend money that they do not have to? Besides that, sometimes emergencies come up, and you might not be near a computer, or even if you are, the person who you are calling might not be.

It is obvious then that the only way to cheaply get in touch in those times is by using a cheap telephone card which are now available at almost every street kiosk you can find.
